Countryside is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation in Fayette County,
Texas. Our purpose is to operate as a charitable organization to
improve the quality of life for adult individuals living with autism
and other disabilities.
Autism in Texas
Autism is diagnosed in 1 out of every 150 children according to the CDC (Center for Disease Control). In Texas, there are over
50,000 children under age 21 diagnosed with autism (Texas Health and Human Services Commission). These children are ageing
out of our school systems and becoming adults at a rate of over 2,000 per year. There are very limited options for families planning
for the future of their loved ones affected by autism. Our plan is to change this by providing an alternative choice for these families.

The rural option offers a calm and natural environment within a close knit community. We will offer a seamless system of support for
the participants in our programs by providing vocational, social and recreational opportunities. They will have free choices to promote
independence.
